October was American Pharmacists Month. The Feik School of Pharmacy at the University of the Incarnate Word wants to encourage you to know your pharmacist. Pharmacists can help you understand your medicines and review your medication profile for prescription and over the counter drug interactions. They also check for the correct dosage, drug allergies and prescription accuracy. Your pharmacist can also give vaccines, take your blood pressure and help you monitor blood sugar levels.
