Effective in May, the Doctor of Physical Therapy entry-level program was granted Candidate for Accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Candidate for Accreditation is a pre-accreditation status of affiliation with CAPTE that indicates that the program may matriculate students in professional courses and that the program is progressing toward accreditation.
The new state-of-the-art School of Physical Therapy, located in the Debbie and Naty Saidoff Center at Guilbeau and Tezel, will include a Rehabilitation Clinic managed by CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Westover Hills to offer physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services. The orientation week for the first class of students enrolled in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program will start on August 13, 2012 with classes starting on the 20th.
